Standard rate: Established client* rate is $180/hour for professional services (surgery, evaluation, treatment, herd health management) and $120/hour for travel time. A new policy, given high demand, is an increased rate for travel times above 1 hour. This will be determined on a per case basis depending on location and appointment type. Medications and supplies are usually priced competitively at 15-30% above my cost from distribution. This markup is typically further reduced with larger orders or drop shipments for established clients.

Emergency charge: Regular business hours are 8am-6pm Tuesday-Saturday. If an emergency trip is made outside of these hours, or if the appointment has not been scheduled in advance, then a $50/hour emergency fee will usually be charged to established clients. Emergencies completed for clients using another veterinary clinic for primary care may see additional charges.

Larger herd work and/or annual vaccinations may be scheduled outside of regular hours if appointment is made in advance. These appointments also are usually given a discounted hour rate.

* An established client is one that utilizes West Fork Veterinary Services for routine care such as herd health products, health certificates, annual vaccinations, pregnancy diagnostics, etc.
